It’s my favorite time of the year when temperatures finally cool off, colors warm and the delicious flavors of apples and pumpkins fill store shelves and our pantries. Ritz churro bites are a tasty cinnamon sugar treat made with Peanut Butter Ritz Bits. Place these easy cinnamon sugar crackers into a serving bowl and mix in chocolate chips or M&M’s and serve.Thank you to RITZ for sponsoring today’s post. It’s important to let the crackers cool completely from the oven before adding the chocolate.Toss them again and sprinkle on the remaining sugar mixture. Use a spatula to carefully fold and toss the crackers a bit and then sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the top to give it more of a cinnamon flavor. Remove from the oven or smoker and let it rest for about 5 minutes.You want the sugar mixture to set and it will bubble a bit. Smoked or bake the crackers for about 15 minutes or so. Spread all the peanut butter crackers out in a single layer on the baking sheet.Use a rubber spatula to carefully fold the brown sugar mixture over all of the crackers so they are fully coated.Then quickly pour that mixture over the peanut butter crackers that are in the bowl. Toss the cheese filled sandwich crackers in the mix and cover the bowl. You just stir together some ranch dressing mix, a few other seasonings and a little bit of oil. Once the butter and brown sugar are fully combined, continue to whisk until it bubbles fully for about two minutes. This recipe is by far the easiest to make.Be careful when working with hot and melted sugar as it can burn you easily. It’s important that you continue to whisk until it becomes one mixture. The butter takes a bit of time to get incorporated into the brown sugar. Carefully add in the brown sugar and stir immediately with a whisk.Over low to medium heat, melt the butter in a small pot or saucepan.In a large mixing bowl, add the peanut butter crackers and also set them aside.Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil and set it aside.(a pellet smoker would be the best for this recipe because it has a less intense smoke flavor.
